It’s a heady mix that is depicted quite well in this movie that presents the ups and downs of a career in professional football.
Remember the Titans (2000)
It’s not easy for any football coach managing a football team, particularly when said football team is racially divided. Settling differences to achieve the goal of bringing glory to their school, this is an inspirational story that is based on the real-life career experiences of African-American football coach, Herman Boone.
Friday Night Lights (2004)
Based on a non-fiction book and spawning a similarly-themed TV series, this movie chronicles the lives of characters in Odessa, Texas and the high school football team that the town fervently supports. The Blind Side (2009)
A football story with heart, this film focuses on a troubled young man who has a natural talent for playing football and the woman who believed he can achieve greatness despite his past and his shortcomings.
